Project Manager

Ms. Le Viet Hoa joined HealthBridge (Vietnam) in March 2008 as the Project Manager of 'Strengthening the Implementation and Enforcement of Smoke-Free Policies in Hanoi'.

Her current responsibilities include overseeing the overall management of the project by monitoring the project's budget and activities, supervising Project Officers and Consultants and communicating with project partners and donors.

Education background and training

Ms. Hoa has a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the National Academy for Public Administration of Vietnam. She has worked for the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam (MOLISA) as a researcher on social issues for 18 years. Working as a national project manager for a six million dollar UNDP funded project that focused on implementation and improvement of the national targeted programmes on poverty reduction nationwide helped Ms. Hoa gain valuable experience in project planning and management.

Ms. Hoa's goals for tobacco control are to: (i) lobby the government to strengthen the implementation and enforcement of smoke free (SF) policies; (ii) obtain the commitment of local authorities to smoke free policies; (iii) media involvement in campaigning for SF policies; and (iv) encourage the support of partners and civil society for SF policies.

Her interests: talking with her children; watching TV (news, movies and sport programs).
