Kristie Daniel joined HealthBridge in January 2010 as an intern completing her Masters of Public Health and worked in Bangladesh and Vietnam providing support to those offices on their Livable Cities programs.  Kristie joined HealthBridge full time in January 2011 as its Manager of the Livable Cities program.   Her role includes providing technical assistance to the local partners as well as program planning, implementation, and monitoring of local programs.  Kristie’s head office is in Ottawa but she travels extensively to meet with HealthBridge’s local partners.

Kristie worked for over 10 years at Halton Region Public Health Department in a variety of roles.  She was responsible for coordinating a network of organizations interested in working together on programs supporting healthy eating, tobacco-free living, and physical activity.  From 2006-2010 she was a Senior Policy Analyst working with local government, planners and engineers on issues related to health and the built environment.  Kristie also spent a year in Tanzania working as a program coordinator supporting local schools and local organizations to implement sport and play activities.
