Pakur Mother and Child Survival Project
Health Care is Hope
Across the world, half a million mothers die each year from pregnancy and
birth-
Globally, around 8.8 million children die each year before they reach their fifth
birthday. -
Today, your donation will:
ü Train community health workers who will link mothers and newborns with essential
pre-
ü Help children to treatment when they are ill with a fever, diarrhoea or pneumonia;
ü Prevent illness by educating villagers about proper health and sanitation behaviours;
ü Improve infant and child nutrition by encouraging proper feeding practices;
ü Increase women’s access to care by promoting shared decision making between husbands and wives.

The Tanzania Maasai Assistance Project (MAP) is a limited duration effort to assist Maasai women in Northern Tanzania by providing funding for education and the provision of clean, accessible drinking water.
The project is run by an all volunteer group in partnership with local Maasai leaders
and is centered on the two villages of Magadini and Kambi ya Choka, both of which
have a population of 10,000-
